Let the posting begin...

We have had a crazy few months with a lot of exciting things happening. Todd was working out of town so I decided to update my blog! I made memory books for my kids for Christmas and I realized how nice it was to have my blog as a reference! I want to be better at blogging even the simple things just so my kids will remember. Over the last month we have:

-Celebrated a wonderful Christmas season

-went to Disney on Ice-Toy Story 3

-Went sledding on Mt Charleston

-Celebrated my 27th bday--with a sprained ankle:) followed with an amazing date to "Phantom of the Opera"--Thanks babe

-Had the Lafaeles come visit!!!

-Had a "Nerf War"

-Ran the Diva Dash

-Brody advanced to Primary

-Chandler got Student of the month

-Dolphin exhibit at the Mirage

-Lots of park days and bike rides

-Childrens Museum

-Nielsens came for an exciting visit

-Todd advances at work--Way to Go Todd!!!!

-Fun Dance Parties

It has been an eventful month and we look forward to many more fun memories! I love my family and I love creating new memories with them every day! I love my job as mother and wife! There really is no greater calling!

Chandler was so sad that we didn't go to Evanston for Christmas so I decided to have a little get together to help him forget about not seeing Ty! We decided to throw a "Nerf War". My friend made these cute invites and we invited all of Chandlers friends from the ward and neighborhood. We had a great turn out and the kids had so much fun! We all met at my house and then we put on our headbands and war paint. Then we walked to the park and the kids just played "war". Then we came back to my house for pizza and cupcakes! It was definetely a fun way to pass the time during christmas break!

Diva Dash 2012
Jess invited me to come along with her and her friends to do the Diva Dash in San Diego. Of course I had to say yes!!! It was so fun! It was a 5k run on the beach with some obstacles along the way. It wasn't as intense as we had expected because of the weather but it was still such a fun girls weekend!!!

After the race we were all starving so we headed to lunch!

After we ate we went and sat in the hot tub! We sat in there for about 4 hrs! We just couldn't get enough of girl time! It was so relaxing to just sit and talk with other moms and such fun girls! I have made the best friends here in Las Vegas and I lov living so close to Jess! I have the best sister in laws! As you can see from our pics the race was a blast and we just stopped and took pics and had so much fun!!!! Tradition---YES I think so!!!

Fun with the Cousins!!!

We got the fun opportunity to babysit the nielson kids for the weekend! My kids had so much fun and I was amazed how well the kids played together! We did a lot of fun activities and it was so fun to spend time with them. We rode bikes, had a picnic, ate pizza, slept in tents, played at the park, went to the Dolphin exhibit and just played the whole weekend! Thanks for coming to visit! We love you guys!!

As soon as we got to the Exhibit chandler jumped on this statue and posed like this. I was laughing so hard! He wanted me to take his picture like this! Hilarious. Chandler had so much fun carrying around the camera and snapping all kinds of interesting pictures.

My friend got us tickets to the Dolphin Exhibit at the Mirage. The kids had so much fun! It was so cool to see them learning something so hands on and up close! When we told them we were going Chandler asked if it was real dolphins or people dressed in dolphin costumes.

To end our adventurous day we had to rent "Dolphin Tale" and let the kids have a movie night!!

--Snow Day--

I love that we can live in such a warm city and still have snow so close to us! Todd had the day off so we took the kids to Mt. Charleston for some sledding. It was really warm and the snow really was just ice that had melted and refroze. But the kids still thought it was amazing!! They had so much fun! I still love to see my kids just simply enjoying life. I love to see them just let loose and be kids!!! But NO this did not change my mind about moving to a place that has snow!

The kids didn't have school on Wednesday so we took them for a day at the museum! They had so much fun! I love watching them explore and get to try new things. I love seeing their imaginations in action!! The boys loved fixing the car and Stella loved riding in the airplane!

Cold Stone Field Trip
My friend Mary invited us along on her field trip to Cold Stone. It was so fun for the kids. They took a tour of the store and then they got to pick an ice cream and topping and mix their own ice cream! We are so lucky to have such great friends here!!

Brody really only likes chocolate so his ice cream choice was classic! Reeces and chocolate ice cream! Chandler of course chose cotton candy!

I love these little guys so much! I feel so lucky that I get to be a stay at home mom and be available to take them fun places like this! I am so thankful Todd makes it possible for me to be home with them! I wouldn't trade this job for anything! I love you guys!!

Chan had a great season and I was so impressed with how well he played. He drained us because we paid him for every goal!! He had so much fun playing on a team with Grant and Boston! Here are some pics from the last game! It was a double-header so they were pretty exhausted!! This is definitely one of the highlights of motherhood! I loved going to his games and cheering him on! I look forward to all the future games!!

Some of the team didn't show up so they let Brody play one game! He did awesome! I was so surprised how aggressive he was and even though he fell every other step he still got up and kept playing!!

Seems like every year when we do family pictures the weather ends up being cold and windy. So once again we have gone with the wind blown look for our fam pics! The boys did great and I am so thankful they were cooperative even though it was freezing.

I love my little family so much! Iam so thankful for the blessing they are to me! I love being able to serve them and be there mom! I love you guys!!!

We were looking for some shopping on Paradise Island and a guy points us in the direction of the shops and says " thats some good shopping over there. Want some blow." Um random and NO THANKS! Life is so different in other places!!

We had such a great time on our cruise! I didnt take many pics, I got super side tracked by all of the crazy drunk people!! It was so fun to spend the weekend with Todd! The islands in the Bahamas are beautiful and the water is so blue and clear! I slept a lot on this vacay and I dont think I realized how EXHAUSTED I was! The boat just rocked me to sleep! The weather was a little rainier than we had hoped but it was still so fun! Thanks Todd for the amazing trip!!! Thanks Robert and Kathleen for coming and watching our kids! It made it so much more relaxing to know our kids were in good hands! The kids had so much fun and can't get enough of their grandparents! I am sold on the idea of couples taking vacations without their kids at least once a year! I love my kids and missed them a ton but I loved hanging out with my husband and having his undivided attention for 5 whole days!!! I cant wait to see what trip is next!

Rainy Days...

We had a crazy rain storm a few weeks ago and from the second they woke up my kids were begging to play in the rain! Today I decided to let them! We had so much fun! I love seeing my kids laugh with each other and enjoy life! They seem to have fun in any situation. Watching them made me remember to not take the little moments for granted. These kids are growing so fast and I dont want to pass up an opportunity to have fun with them!

We went to St. George for the weekend and couldnt pass up the chance to go to the Dixie Round Up Rodeo!!! I have so many memories of the rodeo! My kids had a blast and it was definetely worth the trip!!

A girl in Chans class is copying him. Chandler tells the teacher, "She is trying to use my brain instead of her own."

I wish I kept better record of the things my kids say because they say some crazy stuff!! They can make any situation funny when they add their input! I love you kids and thanks for making motherhood so amusing!

Brody started preschool last week! He was so excited! He wants to bring the snack every day. He wears an empty backpack everyday in hopes of getting homework! The teacher explained that she couldn't help kids go to the bathroom. Now Brodys biggest concern is that he won't be able to button his pants after he uses the restroom!

When we pulled up for the open house there was an Altima parked out front. Brody was so excited because he thought Todd had met us there. Todd wasn't there. Brody was so disappointed. So I made sure Todd met us there for his first day! Brody loves his dad so much and it made him feel so special that Todd would leave work and come to his school! He felt so proud when he recieved his "first day of school' fathers blessing!

Although his school is 15 min away Brody wishes he could ride his bike or walk himself to school.

Brody, You are the Best! I love you so much! You have the sweetest little spirit! You are always so kind to others! You are the best big brother to Stella! You are always so concerned with her happiness. You love to teach her new things and are constantly saying "Stella say this..." Youre the reason she talks so well. You are going to do great in school! You will make friends easily and listen to the teacher! You are such a good little guy and I love having you around. You are so funny and make me laugh all the time. You are just to sweet to get mad at! I was so sad to see you run into that school without even turning to say good-bye! But when I saw you sitting on the rug, listening so intently, I knew school was where you needed to be! I love you Brody! You really are the BEst!

Chan the man is off to kindergarten. He was so excited for his 1st day! He goes in the afternoon but he still woke up at about 6:30 telling me we really needed to be getting ready for school! This could be a long year! Chandler has been waiting to go to school for his whole life! When he was 2 he ran away. I thought he had been kidnapped but we ended up finding him at the Elementary School by our house! Scariest Day ever! Chan I am so proud of you! I love you so much and I am so excited to see you go to school. You will do great! Keep on being the fun spontaneous young man that you are and you will succeed. I love you bud!

These 2 have become such great friends. This transition will be the hardest on Brody! Brody was so sad to see him go into the class and ran and gave him a hug right as he was going in. On monday before school I asked Chan what he wanted to do while we waited for school and he said, "Probably just play with Brody. He is going to miss me while I am gone all day." Funny but so true! Brody loves his big brother so much!

Chan I am so proud of you!! I was sad to send you to school but seeing the joy on your face made me realize how happy you were! You have grown so big and watching Dad give you your first official "back to school" fathers blessing made me so happy and proud to be your Mom. You are a valiant young man with an incredible spirit. I hope you can continue to be a good example to your class mates and wear your CTR ring with pride! I love you!

Las Vegas Drive-In

(Probably not the safest place to see a movie)
Chandler has been begging to see the last "Spykids" movie. So we decided we would have one last Hurrah before school started and take the kids to the Drive-In to see it They had so much watching the movie outside on their camping chairs and eating their treats! We invited Grant and Logan to come with us! These boys all have so much fun together! Iam glad my boys have their cousins so close!

Bear Lake 2011

We went on our annual Smith family Bear Lake trip! And as usual it was a blast! We had great weather and it was so fun to spend time with Todds family. Todds parents did an awesome job preparing and planning an incredible week. They are so good to make sure everyone is happy and that we accomplish every little thing within a 20 mile radius of Bear Lake. They are so great with the kids and my kids love their grandparents so much! We went 4-wheeling, jet-skiing, mini golfing, go cart riding, swimming, games, played at the beach and spent a lot of good quality time together! Thanks for the amazing week!

Bear Lake was so fun this year! All of the kids got a long great! Considering there were 15 kids under the age of 6! There no real fights and the kids played so good together! I am so glad my kids have so many great cousins they can play with and who are such great examples to them. We had so many fun crafts to do and games to play! Thanks everyone for making it so fun!

We were able to go to the other Smiths house and ride their horses. The boys were so nice to give the kids horse rides and four-wheeler rides. They had chickens and the kids loved jumping on their trampoline. Stella kept walking up to the chickens and saying "Hi Chickens." So cute!

My kids had such a fun time riding in the tube. Brody loved to put his hands in the air and yell "No Hands." Chandler liked to stand up and pretend he was surfing! Chan honestly couldnt get enough of the tube. He would wait around for one last ride before we cleaned things up for the day. I liked when Todd was driving too crazy and I almost broke my neck and had a headache for the rest of the weekend! Ahhh isnt tubing the best!!!

Crawdad Fishing

Chandler has been waiting to come to Evanston and do some crawdad fishing. So Monday before we headed to Bear Lake we let the kids go to the river and fish! They had so much fun and did a great job! They hooked chicken to fishing wire and caught quite a few crawdads.

We stopped on our drive to visit Todds grandparents! These 2 are some of the most amazing people I know. My kids loved playing in their big yard and driving the tractor with grandpa. I feel so blessed that my children get to know their great-grandparents and be influenced by their example. They are incredible people with such strong testimonies and they are great people for my kids to look up to. I wish I would have taken more pics! Grandpa gave the kids a ride on the tractor while Grandma whipped up an amazing meal, as usual! With all of their yummy veggies from their huge garden! It was so fun to spend some one-on-one, quality time with them!

For Todds birthday we went out to Lake Las Vegas and stayed at the Ravella Resort. It was beautiful and so relaxing! I realized Todd and I have different ideas about relaxing. I wanted to just lay by the pool and read a magazine and he wanted to wander the shops....we did both and it was so fun to be able to spend some quality time with my hubby! Sadly I forgot my camera.... so no pics! Later that evening we had some friends over, Kellys, Mckees and Goddards, to have pizza and cake and celebrate with Todd! It was a fun day and I hope Todd realizes how much he is loved and appreciated by us!

You are teaching them the importance of fatherhood. You are such a great example to them. I hope they realize how much you sacrifice for them and how much you truly want whats best for them!

I have so much to be thankful for and these last couple of months I have really been struggling with knowing my purpose and responsibilty in life right now. I know I am a mom and a wife but I always feel like I am losing myself as an individual. I know Satan is working so hard on me and trying to make me feel unappreciated and unimportant. But as I have prayed and read different things I have been reminded that I am a daughter of a Heavenly Father who loves me so much! He knows my potential and through my struggles is making me a stronger person. He is aware of my needs even if they seem stupid and small. I have been so thankful for all of the people he has put in my life to teach me things and show me how important it is to stay faithful and dilligent in my everyday life. I am so grateful for everything I have. All of my needs are met and I have the best family I could ever imagine! I am so thankful for a husband who works so hard to provide for me physically but also strives to do whats right so I am taken care of emotionally and spiritually. I am thankful that he is worthy to give me blessings on demand as well as being able to give them to members of my ward. He is such a huge example to me. I am so thankful for my calling. As much work as it is, physically and emotionally, I have been so grateful for the opportunity to serve and give to others. That is where I find my greatest joy! I honestly enjoy serving others and want to pass that on to my children. There is such a "high" that comes when you forget yourself and do something for others. I have so much to be grateful for, but my biggest blessing is my children! I love them so much! I am so thankful that they chose me as their mom. I don't do most things right when it comes to parenting but I do love them more than anyone else ever could! They bring so much joy into my life! I wanted to post a few things they have said lately that have just simply, made me laugh:

I was changing my sheets and Brody says " Oh, did you pee the bed too?"

Chandler and Brody were fighting and Brody comes in and tells me " Chandler is not being nice. He will not be going on a mission."

I was getting dressed for the gym and was in my sports bra. Chandler looks at my so intently and says, " Umm, mom. Heavenly Father wouldn't want you to wear that. He likes us to cover our bellys and our, umm you know, chest."

I asked Chandler to turn down a show and he says "Iam a big brother, not a servant."

We were going to wal-mart and Chandler asked who got to park in the handicap spots. I explained to him who and why they get to park there and he responds " But Brodys cross-eyed. Cant we park there?"

I need to keep better record of the things they say! It seems like everyday I could have a huge list of the funny things they do and say! Stella is talking like crazy and some of the things she repeats are so funny. She loves to do anything her brothers do and will repeat almost anything they say! I love you guys! Keep entertaining us and making life so fun!!!

While Todd was gone his mom flew in. We decided to take the kids inside the airport to wait for her with balloons and signs. I think she was shocked when she walked down the stairs and her grandkids were waiting for her! So excited in fact, she grabbed the wrong luggage!

She finally arrives!! They were so excited to see her and I think she was really surprised!

You know you have been in Las Vegas too long when your kids think its too cold to get in the pool yet its 110 degrees! And they think they need an arm tattoo all the time! Sometimes I don't ask what my kids are doing, I just video.

Girl Time

Todd was nice enough to get all of us girls tickets to Lion King! It was amazing! The costumes and music were awesome! It was so fun to hang out with the girls without our kids so we could just talk and have a fun time! I am so lucky to have such amazing women in my life! My sister in laws, on both sides, are honestly my best friends!

Ash and I took the kids to see the water show at Bellagio. They thought it was so cool. Brody covered his ears the whole time because he thought it was too loud! I wish I had more pictures of all the fun things we did while Ash and her kids were in town! It was so fun to be able to just relax and let the kids play! My kids love their cousins and it was fun for them to get to know them better. I was so thankful ASh came and kept me "sane" while Todd was gone! It was so fun to hang out with her. She has such a fun personality and we have a lot in common so it was really fun! I knew the week was going to be rough without a husband around! Despite the never ending sickness, it was an awesome week!

Chandler is having a blast this summer! He loves to swim and his favorite thing is to dive to thebottom for rings. He loves riding his bike! Ever since Todds bike ride Chandler wants to ride his bike with cleats like his dad. So he rides with his baseball cleats! It is adorable! He is a great big brother and is trying to my little man whenever Stella is sad. He is so excited to start school! He can't wait for bear lake to see all of his cousins and then he knows school starts when we get home! He is so much fun to have in our family! He can make you laugh in any situation! I love you Chan! I know you have a very strong personality but I know you are going to go far and I hope you always know how much I love you!

Brody has also had a blast this summer learning to swim! He is doing great! He loves doing cannon balls! Brody is still wearing his glasses and we are now giving him drops to dialate his eye so the other one will be forced to work. Unfortunately he may be allergic to the medicine because his whole body turns red and he starts to run a fever! Hopefully we will get this eye thing worked out soon! Brody is going to start preschool this year and he CANT wait! He is already trying to arrange the carpool for me! Brody you are the best little man! You have the sweetest spirit and you try so hard to be good! I know you want to be rough and tough like Chan but you are just so tender-hearted! I love you so much! I love being your mom and I love the hugs and kisses you give me on an hourly basis, theyre the BEST!! I love you bud!

Todds Big Adventure

Todd had the chance to go with our Stake on a 500 mile bike ride! There were about 50 young men and 25 leaders as well as a food commitee and support vehicles. They rode from Salt Lake back to Las Vegas! They have been doing training rides since January. He had an awesome experience and I am so glad he was able to go. While he was gone Ash and her family came to stay for the week and Grandma Kate flew in on Wed. It was fun to spend time with Todds family and have some company while he was gone!

The morning they left to SLC. We dropped Todd off at the church and they took a bus to SLC. They attended church there and were able to go to Temple Square.

We made these shirts for the boys. And I hope Todd appreciated them because they were made at about 10:45 the morning the guys came home. The guys were supposed to be home by 12! So we were running around trying to get these made!

We could not wait for Todd to get home! The kids and I missed him soooo much!

A few weeks ago Todd called and told me he was able to get tickets to Tim McGraw! This was a total dream come true for me! I love Tim Mcgraw! I grew up listening to his music and was so excited!!! It was Cody and Jessicas anniversary so I called and asked if they would want to come! It was so much fun! It was fun to go to a concert where I literally knew every word to every song he sang! It brought back so many memories of riding in the car with my family and singing his songs! Plus, he is still as gorgeous as ever! I cant believe he is 40!

Our friends invited us to ride dirt bikes out at the Lake bed. It was the perfect place for the kids to explore and run wild. There were no trees for them to crash in to and they got to just play and get dirty. Not a huge fun of kids going crazy and getting dirty but I will admit it was nice to just let go and not worry about how any of us looked! And interestingly enough, dirt washes right off!!!

No really, it was a very hot day and it was really dirty at the lake bed! The wind kept blowing up dust and I felt like I had dirt everywhere!

After we got home and hosed everybody off we realized how lucky we are to have such great friends here in Las Vegas. We have formed some great relationships and are so thankful for where we ended up a whole year ago! It was one of those experiences where we just prayed where we should be and this is where we ended up. And everyday we are reminded why we followed the impression to move in this ward. I still can't believe it has been a whole year that we have been here. Time has flown by! But we are so grateful for where we are at in our lives and for the many blessings we enjoy! After this adventure I realized how much work it was for my parents to take us places and I am so grateful for my parents and everything they do for me and my family. Todd and I are so lucky to have such amazing families. It is a lot of work to be parents but I wouldn't trade this job for anything in the world. I love my kids so much and I am so grateful for the true joy they bring into my life!

Chandlers Big Day

I still can't believe Chandler is old enough to go to Kindergarden. I love to see him learn and grow but it is so sad how fast the time goes. I am proud of everything he is accomplishing and the great little boy he is becoming!

Chandler getting his diploma! I was worried how chan would act in school since he is a little on the wild side but I was impressed with how calm he was and how well he listened. Ms. Clelia said he was an excellent student and rarely got in trouble. I think it will be good that he wants to be the best at everything because he always wanted to stay on the "good side" of the class chart.

Our latest obsession

Lately my kids have been wanting to go on bike rides, it seems like they ask everyday! So we load up the trailor with our lunches and hop on the trail to go for a ride! It is great exercise and I love to see my kids doing something active! I have been trying to teach Chandler about the importance of exercise and eating our veggies. On our last bike ride we passed a Mcdonalds and the kids wanted to stop and eat there. Chandler told me "that kind of food isn't good for us, we better ride to Subway instead.

Chandler on his new bike he got for Easter. He loves to wear his Camelbak while hes riding and I love it because it has made him LOVE water!!!

On our journey we had to make a stop at the Bike shop. The boys had a blast pretending to repair their tires.

What did I get for my money? 3 kids who had an amazing day and 3 kids who had an amazing nap after the ride!!! Totally worth it!

We stopped at Maverick to get the kids a Bug Juice to go with their lunches. Chandler tells me he doesn't want a bug juice because it will give him cavities. And he actually chooses water!

Brody tells me "Next time you are jumping on your bed you better be careful. Its really high and I almost fell off." Ok Brody, I will be careful while jumping on my bed:)

Chandler tells me if a movie is PG-5 he is allowed to watch it.

Brody is obsessed with Basketball. So we had a basketball party! For his gift, Todd got him a big hoop!!! He was so excited! But his little arms aren't quite strong enough to shoot it that high so he is still practicing on the little hoop! He actually wears it pretty well for a few hours but 8 is far too long for a little guy to have his eye covered. But I guess its better than suffering with eye problems for the rest of his life!

Our friend was trying to convince Todd to do a triathalon with him, so I called Todd at work and told him I had signed him up (which I hadn't) just to see how he would react. He wasn't too mad at me so I decided to actually sign him up! I was so proud that with only 2 weeks of training he could do it! He swam when he was younger and has been biking with the young men so he was semi-trained! I am proud of you babe!

We rented the movie Secretariat. It is about a race horse. All of a sudden my boys come in with their cowboy hats, boots and their horses. They tell us to pause the movie while they get ready for the race. I catch them in my bathroom brushing the horses and painting them with my make-up brushes! I love how creative they are and I love to see their imagination in action!

Oh how I love my babies! This is a rare occurance but one I am definetly grateful for! I love my kids and I love to see them have so much fun that they can't stand to be awake any longer! They are the true joy in my life and I love being their mom! I love what great friends they are becoming!

--San Diego--

We did it! We finally took a vacation! Without the kids! Just the two of us! Held hands the WHOLE time! Ate great food! Amazing! Must do every year! Had a blast!

Todd and I went to San Diego for the weekend! We dropped our kids off Wed night and headed out early thurs morn! We stopped in Primm for breakfast and continued on our journey. The weather was beautiful and we had a ton of fun. We did some shopping and now Todd is addicted to TJ Maxx. We took a tour of San Diego and the Cabrillo National Park. We played in the tide pools. We went to Sea World and swam with the dolphins. We went to the temple. We went to Sea Side village. We saw a whole bunch of old ships and Air force stuff. We ate at some really good restaurants. Our hotel was amazing, I felt white trash just walking into this place. Thank you PRICELINE!! But most of all I just loved spending time with Todd. It was amazing how much we could accomplish without a stroller and our 3 adorable muchkins! I love my kids and I missed them a ton but I think every couple needs a vacation..ALONe! It was fun to just be together as husband and wife instead of mom and dad! I am so thankful I have such an amazing family who were willing to take my kids for me and I was able to go knowing they were in good hands! I am not sure my kids even missed us! Thanks Mom, Jess and Janette!

Walking in the Tidepools. These were so interesting to see how the little sea creatures live. We saw a lot of crabs and Clams.

WE took a tour of the San Diego harbor and then a boat ride out to see some sea lions and the Army base that was there. On this base they actually train dolphins and sea lions to be underwater spies...pretty cool!

Because Todd was able to get Sea World tickets for FREE we decided to splurge and swim with the dolphins. It was so fun! We figured since we didn't have the kids now would be the time to live out our dream!

On Sunday before we headed home we decided to stop and see the San Diego Temple. It was gorgeous! I wish we could have gone in! I am so thankful for Todd and our eternal marriage! It was so fun to spend the weekend with him and be reminded of how much fun we have together!He is an amazing husband and father and I am so grateful I get to be married to him for eternity! It has been an amazing 7 years and I can't wait to see what is in our future!

Nascar Weekend

We had the awesome opportunity to go to Nascar this past weekend! These pictures aren't in any order but we had so much fun! Todds parents came and his brother Ryker from OR came with his son Ty! The kids had so much fun together! It was great to see Todds family and spend time with them! While they were here we drove down the strip to show the kids the lights and we took them to the FunDome at Circus Circus. Chandler and Ty had a blast riding all the rides! We tried to talk Ryk into a tramp stamp that said" Brooke" but he wouldn't go for for it! We are so glad we could spend the weekend together!

Just for memory sake I had to post a "patch"pic! He only wears his patch for a few hours a day and he is doing pretty good at it! I think someone made fun of him because he doesn't like to wear it to the gym, but he will wear it most anywhere else. The Dr says he sees a lot of improvement due to the patch! AriZona Trip
We decided to pack up and head to AZ for a few days! The weather was beautiful and we ended up staying a few extra days because we were having so much fun! We got to do a lot of fun stuff while we were there. We went to Amazing Jakes, the bounce house, the park, dinner (just adults), made Smores and played on the swing set for a LONG time. It was fun to see the Nielson family and spend time with them. I am so glad that our kids got along so great. I really like AZ and I am trying to convince Todd that it would be a nice place to live!!

We got to go to Dr Codys office and have our dental work done. Cody is a great dentist and thankfully, very gentle! HE did great with the kids and I would say it was worth the drive to see someone you trust and are comfortable with. He has a beautiful office and all of the latest equipment! Totally worth it! Thanks Cody!

Stella was born February 12, 2010! She weighed 7 lbs 8 oz and was 20 inches long! I was so excited to have a little girl! She was born with a ton of dark hair and was a beautiful baby! We love you Stella and are so glad you are a part of our family!

Chandlers 5th Birthday

Chandler was born on February 4th 2006! He weighed 8lbs 8oz and was 21 inches long.

Let me just say, He was the fattest baby I have ever seen...Although Korver is coming close!!

Seriously, where has the time gone? It seems like only yesterday that he was a fat swollen little baby and now he is my handsome big boy! You will forever me my first born and there is something so special about that. I love watching you grow and develop! I love how kind and thoughtful you are. I love what a great friend and big brother you are! I love you bud and look forward to watching you grown and develop into an incredible young man!

It has been a crazy few months so I am trying to get caught up on my blogging! I feel like this past year has been really challenging for me and I look forward to the new year and the hope that things will be better! I know the Lord is aware of me and aware of what I can handle, and he is testing me for sure! I feel so blessed for all I have and most importantly for my family! I love them so much and I am so thankful I know they are mine forever! Here are a few of the fun things we have been doing:

All of us at Disney On Ice...One of the perks to Todds job is that he always gets free tickets to some really fun events in Las Vegas. We have been to Nascar Truck races, Pro Bull Riding, National Finals Rodeo, Boxing Championships, UFC fights, UNLV basketball games and Disney on Ice. Lots of random things we probably would have never done but they were so much fun and make for some interesting dates!

Last weekend I was supposed to go to a Craft Fair for some sisters in my Relief Society so my parents took Chandler for a day! I ended up not going to the craft fair but was grateful for the alone time I got to spend with Brody! When I asked him what he wanted to do for the day he told me, " Lets go to the museum, McDonalds and Disneyland." I did take him to the Childrens Museum and McDonalds but Disneyland was a bit out of the way! I had so much fun hanging out with him and doing whatever he wanted! I love my little guy so much and I am so thankful for the sweet spirit he has! Here is just a brief update in the Life of Brody Smith!

I decided to enroll Brody in gymnastics on one of the days that Chandler was at preschool so he didn't feel left out! He loved gymnastics and did a really good job! He does great cartwheels and loved walking on the beam! Way to go Brod!

This is a Hurricane simulator. The wind got up to 90 MPH. Brody kept telling me we needed to get out because it was blowing his glasses off!

We were able to see Santa at Chandlers school this year! Anytime we go anywhere I always make my kids tell me the rules for where we are going. The rules usually include: no hitting, no biting, no screaming, no going crazy...you get the picture! So after we saw Santa, Brody says to me " I followed the rules. I didn't even punch Santa."

--The old Brody--
A couple of weeks ago, on a Monday, I turned to tell Brody something and he was looking at me cross-eyed. I didn't think anything of it, but over the next few days I noticed his eyes were crossing quite frequently. By Friday his eyes were permanetly crossed. I was really concerned so I took him to the eye doctor and they told me he has Accomadative Esotropia. Which basically means he is trying so hard to see, that it is causing his eyes to turn in. So for the next 2 months he will wear glasses and if that doesn't fix the problem he will have eye surgery. He is doing really well with his glasses and I think they are working because now he actually wants to wear them. It has been hard to get used to seeing him in glasses but he looks adorable and he loves them!

I love what a great big brother Chandler is! We were driving home from the gym and I can hear Chandler mumbling and then I hear him say " knock some one out." I turned around and said, "What?" and he replies, " Ya, I was about to knock some one out cuz they were laughing at Brodys glasses." I thought it was awesome that he was standing up for Brody.

Dash from the Incredibles! Chandler loved his costume and wore it for a week straight! He even won a t-shirt at the drag races because he wore it there! This costume fits his personality perfectly!

My little Fireman! Brody looked adorable but was not a fan of the fire hat!

Stella the "thing with wings". She wasnt anything specific just a cute little girl with wings! She hated her costume and this was the only time she ever wore it!!!!!!!

Todds parents came for the weekend! They came for the drag races, which has become quite the tradition! Chandler is obsessed, he even chose to go to the races instead of going trick or treating!

It was fun to have Kathleen spend Halloween with us and come to our trunk or treat! My kids are so lucky to have such fun, involved grandparents! I am so glad my kids have them in their lives! My kids have no clue how lucky they are to have such great grandparents!

My boys love spending the day at the races with their grandpa Bob! He is so good to them! They love to just be with him and be spoiled by him!

Brody had a blast at the races! But he was definetely worn out! This was him before we even pulled out of the parking lot to go home!

Chandler loved trick or treating in the pits and all of the fun stuff he got! Much better than candy!

I wish this didn't look so natural! Chandler is such a huge fan of the races! He keeps saying he wants to drive one someday! And with his dare-devil attitude I bet he will!

I am so behind on blogging I don't even know where to begin so I am just going to do a little update on each of us and what weve been up to this summer!

AS for Todd and I...we just went wherever kiddos took us! We had a really fun summer! We have been enjoying Las Vegas and trying to learn our way around! We have made some really great friends here and feel blessed to be where we are at! Todd got a new postion with Smiths about 4 weeks after we moved down! He is now the District Grocery Specialist. I am so proud of him and how fast he is moving up! He is such a hard worker and deserves a pay off! I love it because now he has every Sunday off, which keeps me from going inactive! Church is rough with 3 little ones, alone! We celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary! I cant believe we've been married that long! I am so happy to be married to my best friend! He is so good to me and my kids! I am so thankful for the opportunity I have to stay home with my kids! SOmetimes its rough and by 5:00 I am SOOOO ready for Todd to get home, but I feel so blessed to be able to be home with them. We are so thankful for the blessings we have!

Todd really is the Best dad! He is so patient and good with the kids! They love him so much and wish I would work so he could stay home! THey would probably be better off!!

Stella K--8 months

Stella has changed sooo much! She is just getting more and more adorable by the second! She is scooting all over the place and starting to figure out what she wants and how to get it! She has been sick for the last 2 weeks, 1 week of throw up, 1 week of diarrea, 2 weeks of hell for me!! But now she is feeling better and spunkier than ever! She is now on formula only! Hip hip hooray! Some freedom! I actually left her for the 1st time last weekend and it was REALLY hard! I just like to hold her and be around her! There is definetly a special connection between a mom and her girls!

And YES stells was on all of our family outings but I guess if they're attached at the hip its hard to remeber to take pics of them!

Stella, doll, I love you so much! Everytime I look into your eyes I see such a glow! Youre a beautiful little girl and I hope you stay that way on the inside as well. Its is scary to have a little girl to raise but I know you are a strong spirit! I hope we can continue to grow to be best friends! You mean so much to me and I feel like there is so much I already want to tell you and teach you! I hope you know how much I love you and how grateful I am to be your mother!

Brody--2 years old
Brody is also growing like crazy! Mid-summer I had to buy him all new clothes because all of a sudden his little gut was hanging out of all his shirts! Brody is turning in to the funniest little guy! He loves to make us laugh, especially Stella! He loves to follow Chandler around and do anything he is doing! He adds "baby" to the end of everyones name! He always says "OK baby" to me! He is such a sweet heart and always giving the best hugs and kisses! He will turn to me and just say "I Love you". Melts my heart! He is in gymnastics and doing really well. He is like a little monkey on the bars! He spent a lot of time swimming this summer and even attempted without floaties a few times! He loves the water and would bathe for hours if I let him!
Brody is such an easy going boy and is definetly the peace maker in our home!

Brody and Quigley! Quigley ate his sandwich right out of Brodys hands the first time we went swimming and so from then on Brody was afraid of Quigley! By the end of the summer they were good buds!

Brody had a blast at Bear Lake! He loved digging in the sand and spending time with all ofhis cousins!

Chandler--4 years old
Chandler is growing like a weed and becoming his own little man! He is in preschool and LOVING it! He makes it a goal each day to make sure his name stays on the "good" side of the board! He loves going to the park, as long as it has monkey bars! He loves to swim and do just about anything that keeps him busy! He is playing soccer and doing awesome! He has scored 2 goals! He wears his cleats and shin guards everywhere we go!! He always has a plan and an idea for something he wants to do and he will figure out any way possible to get you to see things his way! He loves the drag races! He is so full of life and energy! We love you Chan!

I used to hate freckles until I met this handsome little guy!!

When we went to Bear Lake we got to go see my friend Melissa and her family! They were so nice to let all the kids come see their animals! They had chickens, cows, goats and horses! Shawn and Jayden were so awesome to walk the kids around and give them horse rides! I think Chandler is definetly a born cowboy!

We had so much fun at Bear Lake! Wish I had more pics:( Chan was packed for months in advance! I would look for something of his and I could always find it in his Bear Lake suitcase!

Chandler at U-Swirl! A fun place where you pay for your yogurt by the ounce and add whatever toppings you want! Luckily it usually ends up gross and the kids dont actually eat it!!

We spent A LOT of time at the pool this summer! Chandler learned to swim with no floaties!!
Chandler loves to dive and do cannon balls! He even jumped off of the HIGH dive at the Hurrican pool!! Way to go Chan!

I always thought it was a lie when they said to keep your kids away from your blinds because they could strangle themselves...I WAS WRONG! The other day Chandler was playing on the couch and we told him to get down. About 5 seconds later he is sitting on the ground saying his neck hurt. I told him thats why we don't climb on the couches. Then we see the big welt! Yikes! He said he had the cord wrapped around his neck and slipped! I am so glad it was just off the couch, not his bunk bed or something higher! So beware...it can really happen!

Chandler is the best big brother! Brody wants to be just like Chan! Chandler is always looking out for Brody and teaching him his techniques to get out of trouble and hide from us! He is so protective of Stella and is so helpful if I ask him to get anything for her!

Me and my little man! I cant believe how fast time is flying! It seems like I just barely had you Chan! You are my best friend! You have the strongest personality and I know we disagree A LOT! But I love you so much! I am so happy to be your mom! I love watching you grow and excel in all you do! At the beginning of June we moved to Las Vegas! It has actually been a really great move! I am so proud of Todd and his accomplishments! Todd got a store 1/2 mile from our house so it has been nice to have him so close! He is loving his new job! We have definetely missed our friends and family that we left behind but are so excited to start a new journey as a family! The greatest blessing that has come with this move is that now I get to stay at home with my kids! Peace out Chuck! Actually I do miss Chuck A Rama, I made some great friends there! But I love being home with my kids!

We had such a fun get away with Todds mom, Jay, Nat and Brooke. Ash you were definetely missed! It was so fun to just spend time with the girls! I loved having that one on one with Stella! And we got to meet Addi Jane! As you can see in this picture she is such a happy little thing! Todds mom had such a fun weekend planned and this is a tradition we MUST keep!

Some random events of the past month..

This is the "Tough Kid" bike ride. it was just a 2 mile bike ride and the kids got a free helmet and got to learn about bike safety. Worst part was that our kids didn't have helmets! They didn't get the free ones until after the bike ride so we were there to learn about bike safety and we didn't even have helmets on our kids!! Chandler and Grant did great and Todd pulled Brody and Logan in the bike trailor. Everyone was amazed that they could ride without training wheels!

I bought this trailor at a yard sale for $20!! It is in excellent condition and my kids LOVE it! The only down fall is that we don't even have bikes!! I purchased the wrong item first I think.

One day Todd called me and said that he had gotten us a room in Mesquite because he had to work early the next morning. But since we have 3 kids and no bbsitter

we brought the kids along with us! I thought it would be fun to let the kids swim and just hang out by the pool. We got down there and the wind was blowing so hard we couldn't even swim. So i ended up trapped in the motel with 3 kids until Todd got off work. My kids got pretty restless so we headed to McDonalds, the only indoor play place in Mesquite. The kids played great and then we decided to go to the arcade and take them bowling. Not romantic as Todd had planned but still a really fun mini-vacation with my best friends!!

Chandler tried to take Stella down the slide at McDs! If Stella makes it to 1 years old I will be shocked!

With all of his tickets from the arcade Chandler chose this medal that says #1! I guess his competitive jeans are coming through!

I don't know who enjoyed the arcade more, The boys or Todd!

These 2 loved the hotel! Chandler kept saying he loved our new condo! It was a little rough to get them to sleep in the samebed but after a spanking or 2 they were asleep. I asked Chan if he had fun at the hotel and he said, "Ya. But not at night cuz dad kept hitting us cuz remember Brody wouldn't leave me alone and I was trying to sleep." I had to laugh cuz Todds spankings are as far from a hit as you can get!

Happy Birthday Brody

We celebrated Brodys birthday on Sunday so Todds parents could come because they were in town! We went to the park and had cake and ice cream and opened gifts, which Brody was hardly interested in except for his new soccer ball!

A few things about Brody/funny incidents...

--Brody loves soccer and loves to kick the soccer ball around the house. If he throws it to you and you catch it he will say "nice catch"!!

--Whenever I ask Brody how much I love him he stretches his arms as far as he can and says "much"...

--Brody is the easiest child to put to bed. 99% of the time he comes to us and says he's ready for bed. He doesn't require a story a song or anything. One time I was singing to him and he said "Stop" and he crawled into bed!! Couldve been my singing! Once we were jumping on the tramp and Brody put his popsicle stick down and said " need take nap". I love it!!

--Brody loves to read and always is bringing me a book and saying " read book" I try to read to him while I am nursing Stella so he won't get into any trouble! One time he was "reading" to stella and he grabbed her head and said "stella look"

--Brody is super obedient and I rarely make it to 3 when I am counting for him to do something. Most the time if he gets put in time out it is because I think he looks so cute in the corner!!

--We were pulling weeds and Brody pulled one and said "Broccoli"!

--Brody loves his brother and has learned many things from him..some of his newest phrases include: wacko, kick your butt, stinky butt, zip it...its hard to get mad cuz its actually funny when he says these things but we are trying to teach him they are naughty!

--I was on the phone and I told Brody I was talking to a friend. I asked him if he had friends and he replied "my brother". They really do love each other and are starting to play so well together.

--Brody LOVES Stella soooo much! He is always kissing her and saying Stella Pretty. Whenever he climbs up to see her he calls her "stella bella" or "stella boo". At leas once every 5 minutes he has to kiss her! Her hair always has nasty drool in it combined with anything else that was in Brodys mouth!

--Brody can say his ABC's and count to 10

--Brody loves to ride the four wheelers and always says "grandpa bob, keys, four wheeler."

--Brody doesn't really like sweets. He will eat chocolate but that is about it. He won't even eat his gummy vitamins!

--Brody is definetely our little peacemaker and he keeps things calm around our house! I love his sweet little spirit.

Brody was really scared when my fellow employees of Chuck A Rama sang to him! But he sure loved the dessert!

Stella on her blessing day. She was blessed on March 28, 2010 by her dad! It was a beautiful day. Stella wore my blessing dress! She looked absolutely adorable! I am so thankful for everyone who came and supported us in her big day!

Janette took this picture and I love it!! She is so talented! I am so thankful for Todd and his worthiness to bless our baby! He gave an incredible blessing. I am also thankful to all of the men who were worthy to assist Todd in blessing Stella. Stella is very blessed to have so many great examples in her life.

Grandma Kay with Stella. I was so grateful my mom saved my blessing dress for Stella to wear. It was such a special day! Thanks mom for all of your help/doing it all! My mom is always so amazing to help me whenever I need her. She practically did all of the food preperation while I fed and took care of Stella. It is because of her that I am so organized and have to make a list for everything I do. She made sure I had everything I could possibly think of to make Stellas blessing day so special.

We were so happy that Todds family could all travel to spend this day with us! On Saturday we had an incredible Easter egg hunt (Thanks Grandma Kate) Our kids got so much fun stuff that I didn't even have to buy them anyhting for Easter!! It was so fun to spend the weekend with Todds family. I always love hanging out with his sisters and my kids just can't get enough of their grandparents. I am so thankful to them for the incredible son they raised.

I love this picture of the boys! They are becoming the best of friends and are keeping me so entertained! With Todd working out of town life has been pretty hectic and I definetely feel for single moms! It sucks! It has made me so thankful for a husband who ALWAYS jumps in and helps me usually without even being asked! Although it is crazy sometimes I am so thankful I get to be a mother! At night after the boys have gone to bed and I get to just hold and stare at Stella it reminds me how lucky I am to be a mom and how much I love these sweet spirits. I love my children more than I ever imagined I could! They are my biggest blessing!

Being a "new" mom and my emotions going crazy I am so thankul for my family and my friends! The Lord new what I needed in my life right now and I am so grateful for everyone who was willing to take my kids for me, or tell me I look good when I know I don't..YET! I will get there again! I am thankful for my friends who keep track of my kids when we are at the park and I am attempting to nurse AND watch chan and Brody. I feel so blessed to have a Heavenly Father who loves me and answered my prayers when I felt like I couldn't be a good enough mom to all 3. He has sent me such special people to be there for me when I need the help. I feel so grateful for all of the examples my kids are going to have in their lives and know that I am definetely not raising them on my own. I have more support than I could imagine!

The proudest brothers EVER! Chandler keeps telling me Stella can't stay in pajamas(onesies) forever. He wants her to wear her cute skirts! Brody just loves to kiss her and keeps saying "Pretty baby Stella." I don't think its possible to "over love" a baby but these boys definetely are coming close!

We can't decide who she will look like? All we know is we love her just the way she is!!

We are so happy Stella is finally here! I thought this day would never come! Thurs the 11th I started having labor pains at about 10:00 pm. I took a hot bath to see if they would subside and they didn't! I laid down for about an hour timing them and sure enough it was the real deal! I got to the hospital at 11:30 and was completely ready for the epidural! I had my epidural and everything was down hill from there. The nurse checked me at one point and I was only a 7. About 20 min later she came in to check me again and little miss Stella had decided to start coming out without any of us knowing! They called the Dr and we just waited there until he arrived. 1 contraction and 2 pushes later she made her debut! She arrived at 3:47 am on February the 12th! She has a ton of dark hair and is simply adorable! Its amazing how instantly I just loved her and felt that motherly bond! She has been an incredible baby so far and is such a sweet heart. I just love to hold her and give her kisses. I am so happy to have my little girl here so healthy and perfect!!

Happy Birthday Chandler!

I cant believe you are actually 4 years old! I can't believe you've survived this long! Chandler I love you so much and I am so proud and happy to be your mom! I hope you are having the best birthday ever with your dad in Portland! I can only imagine the look on your face when that airplane took off!! You were so anxious to fly and every time you saw a plane on our way to the airport you kept wondering if that was your plane and it was leaving you and dad behind! You are the light of my life and to be honest, today has been a little bit boring without you running around. Brody has missed you so much and has been wandering around the house saying "Chan, Chan." You have the sweetest spirit and more energy than anyone I know!! Here are a few facts about you!

You are the best big brother ever!! Brody and Stella are so lucky to have you as an example and friend to help take care of them!

You are very strong-willed. You never give up..NEVER! When there is something you want you are relentless!! I know this attribute will get you far in life!

You are hilarious! You are the life of the party and definetely the center of attention!

You are very selfless! You always think of others and want to buy everyone you know a treat if we are getting you one. You always think of others!

You have never ending energy! I don't know how I will ever keep up with you! Joel said it best when he said, "Chandler doesn't nap, he just recharges."

Chandler there are so many things I love about you! I am so glad you are my little boy! I love when you stop me and say, "Mom, I love you." It makes my day and I remember how lucky I am to have you! Sunday night: My kids were bathing in the jetted tub and Chandler turned on the jets before there was enough water...therefore water squirted ALL over the bathroom...

2:00 AM-- Brody wakes up covered in throw up! We didn't have our washer and dryer plugged in yet so I had to head to my parents to do laundry!

4:00 PM-- Todd and my dad plug in washer and dryer. I am ecstatic to get caught up on laundry! I start a batch and the water plug comes out of the washer and water is going everywhere. I can no longer fit in such a small space considering I am 38 weeks prego so I stand there in shock as water fills the laundry room. Thank goodness for the drain in the middle of the room! I do eventually get the washer pulled out and everything cleaned up thanks to my shower squigee and huge swim towels!!

7:00 PM-- I have finally cleaned up the house and start the dishwasher! I notice there is a little blue stuff in the dispenser but I assume it is Jet Dry and start it anyway. Apparently it was Dawn soap..not Jet Dry! Thanks big helper Chan!! It is just like the movies when soap suds are just spilling everywhere and they won't stop!!!

Talk about major contractions after kneeling down cleaning up these messes all day!! But it sure is nice to have a spotless house!!

9:30 PM-- I am finally getting a shower, Todds DEAD asleep, and I assume the kids are in their beds where I laid them down. I get out of the shower and hear Chandler crying. I ask Todd what the problem is and he has no clue. I go to check on Chan and he is laying on his pillow covered in blood! Apparently he had gotten up and on his way back to bed hit the wall and fell on his bed frame! My dad luckily could butterfly it back up nicely, but really could he have anymore scars on his face?

4:00 AM--More throw up from the Brodster!!

As terrific as this day was I wouldn't change the opportunity I have to be a mom for anything!! As annoying as cleaning up these messes was I am so grateful to have a place to live and that my husband has a good job and our kids are still alive, barely, and healthy, kind of. Brody is feeling so much better and I am so glad to have my little guy back to normal. I love my boys and I can't wait for my little Stella to get here! my boys are so excited and I love how they rub my belly and Brody can even say Stella and if you ask him if he wants a sister he says YES, which is a miracle cuz he says NO to everything else you ask him!!

I just have to add this funny story about Chan cuz it reminds me how even among the bad days there are always funny things that brighten my day.

--We moved and our dryer is gas but the new place only has electric hook ups so we didn't have our washer hooked up for a few days. We had the cable guy over to hook up the cable, so important of course, Anyway he was having trouble hooking up the TV and Chandler came over and said, " Maybe it is a gas TV!!"

--Chandler tells me he want to go to the Dinosaur museum and I tell him we have to wait until Todds day off because he runs away and mom is to big to chase him. So I need todd to help babysit. He responds with, " Dad doesn't help babysit. I can just run away from to!"

--I tell Chandler I am going to put a lock on his closet because he keeps climbing to the top of it and pulling his clothes off the hangers. He tells me, " I know where the ladder is and I will jsut unlock it."

What a little smart @$$!

I love you Chan! You always have something witty to say that makes me laugh and reminds me how smart you are and how you REALLy do listen far better than I think.

Snow Day with Dad

Todd had the day off today so we took the boys and went sledding in Pine Valley. I am so thankful for such an amazing husband who is so willing to do whatever he can to make the boys and I happy! We had such a fun day just hanging out as a family! I love how much my boys LOVE their dad. From the second they wake up until he gets home they are asking when he is going to be home! Maybe its because I am a lazy prego mom:) It was cute tonight while Todd was pushing them on the swings Chandler told Todd, "Dad, I like it when your here!" They are so lucky to have such an amazing dad!!

Chandler LOVES the snow! He kept falling off the sled on purpose and picking the biggest piles of snow to jump and climb thru!

I had to post this picture cuz when we were decorating our tree we realized we didn't have an angel to put on top of it. Chandler so willingly volunteered his angel from his nativity set! A little tacky but at least hes getting the concept!

The Polar Express
On Thanksgiving Weekend we went up to the Heber Creeper and rode the "Polar Express." Chandler has watched that movie at least 3 times a week since last Christmas and loves anything to do with the Polar Ex. It was fun to make his little dreams come true and take him on the train. I would pay any amount to see the pure joy in his eyes and the way he lit up when he got to climb aboard. Our whole drive up there he was singing the "Hot Chocolate" song and he couldn't quit talking about how excited he was. I got him some slippers and he would leave them by his bed every night just in case the Polar Express came to pick him up! I also had him a robe made with his own name on it. He thought it was awesome and it was fun that they were able to wear their pajamas on the train ride. He was so happy that he got his own ticket and his very own bell from Santas sleigh!!

Because we knew Chandler was going to the Drag races with grandpa bob we celebrated on the 20th when our ward did their trunk or treat. Chan wore his costume all day and we just told him it was Halloween.

Brody was not a fan of dressing up. By the end of the night he had no bandana, no earring and no eye patch. He just looked like white trash in a cut off with a tattoo!!

Super Chan..

Chandler LOVED his costume. He wore/wears it all the time. He wore it to bed for like 3 nights after we got it. He loved trick or treating and didn't think there was enough cars at our trunk or treat.

Britni and her girls, Olivia and ZeZe, came to our trunk or treat. It was fun playing all of the games with them and seeing them in their adorable costumes.

On Halloween Day Brody and I just hung out at home while Chan went to the races. The trick or treaters starting coming around 5:30. Our neighborhood must've been the hot spot cuz we ran out of candy by 7! And believe me I had bought a ton in hopes of having lots of left overs:) We had to turn off our lights and tell the idiots that still came to our door we had no more candy!!

Chandler had a blast at the races with Robert and he is so lucky to have such a fun grandpa who will take him for the day and spoil him rotten!! He had so much fun and is already preparing for next year and saving up for a race car shirt!!

Last Friday Brody woke up covered in throw up and just not acting himself. I told Todd I was taking the day off so he wouldn't have to go to a babysitters. After about an hour I realized something was really wrong with him because he wasn't moving around or even jabbering like he normally does. He just laid on my bed and he was throwing up EVERYTHING I tried to give him. So I took Chandler to Jays and took Brody to the doctor. It was a rough trip just getting him there. He threw up in the car..on me at the doctor 2 times..and had 2 blow outs! So the PA came in and said she was just going to give him some medication and send us home. She told me to watch for signs of dehydration. I was confused because I thought it looked pretty darn obvious he WAS dehydrated. He had all the symptoms she told me to watch for. I asked if I could have another doctor look at him and when the doc came in she immediately said I needed to get him to the pediatric unit ASAP. I was so grateful I listened to my "motherly instincts." cuz I just knew something wasn't right. I called my dad to meet me there and give him a blessing cuz Todd couldn't leave work. I had a meltmdown and eventually I pulled myself together and checked him into the hospital. It took them 3 hrs to get an IV in him because his veins were collapsed from the dehydration. I am so thankful my dad came and held Brody down while they tried to get the IV in because I really couldn't stand to watch. He was so good to stick around and support me cuz Todd was at work!! I am lucky to have such an amazing family. Jay kept Chandler for the day and my mom sat in the waiting room and kept me company while I waited and she watched Chandler all night. As soon as they got the IV in Brody started to come around. He slept for about 4 hrs and when he woke up he was a completely different child. His coloring was back and he was his cheery little self! I love you Brody and I am so happy to have your sweet amazing personality back!!!

Brody was in heaven as soon as they gave him a popsicle. He LOVES posicles and he was so happy to hold 1 in each hand.

I felt so bad for Brody cuz he kept wanting a drink but we didn't dare let him drink cuz he would throw it all up. So he would try to drink any drop that was left of his pedialyte.

They finally got the IV in his foot. But now his little arms are all bruised from them trying and trying an trying to find a vein.

Chandlers new shiner...

Not the first and DEFINETELY not the last I am sure. This weekend Chandler went to the drag races with Robert. He looks forward to this weekend with his grandpa all year long. He loves to go and spend time with Robert. He wasn't feeling well but he sucked it up cuz there was NO way he was missing the races. He went Friday and had a great time!! On Saturday they stopped at the McDs in Mesquite to have lunch. Kathleen called me to give me some bad news...I thought Chan had pooped his pants cuz he had diarrea..but worse..He had fallen in the play land and cut his eye open! Luckily he missed his eye and cut right to the side of it. But that wasn't stopping him from the races. They continued on to Vegas and promised to have him back within 12 hrs so if he needed stitches they could still do them. When he got home I took him to my neighbor who is a PA to see if he needed stitches and he said we could just put a butterfly on it. Luckily Grandma Kate know quite a bit about doctoring up a wound cuz I didn't have a clue. She fixed him up good and he is doing wonderful!! His eye just turned a little black and blue but its nothing we're not used to!

I love my boys but these little Dr visits are occuring a little to often!! I hope they both make it to 5!! I love you Chan and Brody!!

Stella K. Smith is on her way!!

I wish I had a better picture but she was twisted weird and wouldn't cooperate. I just love to see that all her parts are there all the way down to her 1o little toes. I can't express how excited I am to be having a have a baby girl. I have already drained our bank account shopping!! It is just to fun to buy girl stuff. Even Chandler is adorable at the store, he will hold up girls things and say, "We need to get this for my little sister." He is so excited and it makes me anxious to have her knowing he will be a BIG helper. He and Brody both LOVE babies and are going to be very protective big brothers. My friend Bree gave us a bassinet and Chandler totally rearranged his room and got out blankets so that the baby could sleep with him in his room. He just can't wait for her to get here. He tells me I need to quit going to the gym so my belly can get fatter and I can have a baby. 21 weeks and ?of pounds later...I am well on my way to the fatter part!! I am so nervous to be having a 3rd child but feel so blessed to be given this opportunity.

Just a few randoms...

Chandler started preschool and even though the pics don't look like it, he really LOVES school. He loves packing his bag for show and tell and asks every morning if it is school day. When I took him to orientation I couldnt believe how sad I was. Maybe its the prego hormones but I kept getting choked up to see my little man growing up. The 1st day I picked him up and said, " So how was school?" He said fine. Then asked, " So how was the gym? Did you have a good work out? Did Brody miss me?" The 2nd day of school he told me I didn't need to walk him to the door and that he was big enough to do it himself. Talk about a dagger to the heart:( It makes me sad to see him grow up but I am so proud of the things he is learning and accomlishing. I love my little man and the BIG BOY he is becoming.

Brodys new boots. He loves them and want to wear them everywhere. I try to put on his tennis shoes and he throws them and says "boots"! Big Deal, they're cute!! What can I say about this little guy except that I just LOVE LOVE LOVE him!! He is the sweetest little guy ever and always has the biggest grin!! He loves to follow chan around and is devastated everytime we take chan to school. He just looks out the window and says " go, he gone, go"! It makes me sad but I know those 2 have become the best little buds! Brody is starting to say a lot of words and wants to do ANYTHING chandler does which is becoming a little scary! He gives the best hugs and kisses! And I just can' get enough of him. Maybe its knowing he won't be the baby for much longer, but I just cherish every moment with him. I just can't hug him enough or hold him enough cuz I see how fast he is growing and changing. I love you Brody!!

Our 1st candy/fruit snack stand....

I bought a big box of fruit snacks at costco and when we got home Chandler told me he wanted to do a candy stand. He pulled out the tackle box and put his money in it and used it as a cash register. He lined up all the snacks, just as any OCD child would, by color and size. And he waited for business to come...but due to the economic slump no business came:( He had 2 friends come but he gave them his money so they could buy a fruit snack from him. He doesn't quite get the $ concept. My parents came and he sold my dad a pack for $3 but when my mom said she only had $1 he made her have a fruit rollup instead of a whole pack and told her it would still be $1.50. What a bargainer!! He ended up making about $7 and wanted to buy himself some soccer cleats. He loves watching the games at the high school and so we got him some cleats. He is so funny, he takes his cleats in his backpack and changes at the game cuz thats what the players do!!

Boys will be Boys..and I Love It!!

Oh Chandler and Brody..I love you both so much. I love what great buds you are and how much you make each other laugh. Especially how much you make me laugh. You are the light of my life. All you have to do is smile or give me a kiss and my day is all better again. I love when you chase each other around the house and play your silly games. Your laughter brings me such true joy and happiness. I love that I am your Mom and get to have such happy, valiant sons like you!!

We rented a boat on Friday and the kids had a blast. On Saturday morning I asked Chandler if he wanted to rent a boat or just go to the pool..He replied" The pool. It just kills me to spend money on a boat." Guess we were ALL being cheap!!

We rode 4-wheelers EVERYDAY! Brody loved them and actually fell asleep with the key a few times! He would stand at the door and wait for ANYONE to take him on a ride! Chandler was driving himself one afternoon and ran into a rock. It was really scary to see him covered in blood. He cut above his 2 front teeth but it doesn't look like they are going to fall out! He also bit 3/4 of the way through his tongue. It has been crazy to see how fast his mouth has healed..it is almost completely better only a week later.

We had such a fun time and we are so thankful for our family! I am thankful for my inlaws and all the time they put into making bear lake so fun..even with a broken shoulder! My boys loved riding the 4-wheelers over and over with their grandpa bob. We are glad Ryk and Brooke traveled all the way from Oregon to be there. Congrats Brooke! I am jealous you are that far along but I am so excited for you. You have beautiful kids and you should just keep having them! Ash and Cody we missed you but know you are making the best decisions for you and your family. It was so fun to spend the week with everyone and we love you all!!

I am so excited to be pregnant again..well actually not the pregnancy part but I am excited to be a mom to another beautiful baby. Hopefully a girl!! Chan and Brody I love you so much and apologize for the crazy mom I have become since I got pregnant but I know it will pass and I love you both more than you will ever know! Todd don't leave me..I am only pregnant 5 more months!! I love you guys.

Tues was Todds 27th Bday and Fri was our 5 year anniversary! So we spent the week in style and headed to Las Vegas! It was so fun to have some alone time with my husband! We went down Monday night and we stayed at the Luxor. Due to our non-smoking preference we got our room upgraded and it was really nice! Tues we shopped a little and layed out by the pool. Tues night we went and saw Chris Angel "Mind Freak". It was a fun show and he did some amazing tricks. Magic is the weirdest thing to me. Wednesday we layed by the pool and while I was laying out Todd went to "get us a drink" but came back empty handed and with an empty wallet. I hate gambling! I was a little ticked so we decided to just do some shopping and head home! It was just so nice to spend time with my husband and eat at nice restaurants without the kids! I have the best husband and I am so grateful to be married to him. Five years seems like forever but we still have a long way to go! I am so grateful I have such an easy-going, chill husband because he has made the last 5 years a breeze. He is so good to me. I am so thankful for his motivation and his willingness to work so hard to provide for our family. He really makes me laugh everyday, even though its after hes made me mad and then we're laughing at me being dramatic! I am so grateful to be married to such an amazing man! I am so blessed. Marriage isn't bad when you're married to your best friend. I love you babe and I am so excited to see what the future holds for us. I know it will be awesome as long as your by my side!

Somebody PLEASE help me! My little Chanman has NO FEAR! This is his latest quest..he wants to be a BULL RIDER! We went out to the Gunlock rodeo and he rode the cow. I thought he would be scared but Zach walked him down there and my friends husband Troy helped him in the chute and onto the cow. He LOVED it. He was telling the rodeo clown that he was going to ride bulls. The whole next day he told everyone that he rode a bull. Heres a few pics..

At our 4th of July celebration Chandler went rock climbing. It was funny cuz the guy was like we've never had anyone under 4 do it..And I said well if I pay can he at least try..so Chan tried it and climbed to the top! He is definetely fearless and can do anything he puts his mind to!! I couldn't get the video to rotate so if anyone knows how please tell me!!
